Mari Moxley’s background in clinical social work and philosophy fuels her passion for crafting film stories that highlight diverse human perspectives. She views the filmmaking process as a therapeutic intervention, fostering unique, meaningful conversations and deeper understanding. Her portfolio includes projects ranging from congressional campaigns to suicide prevention initiatives. Mari has led mental health awareness campaigns within the U.S. Air Force, collaborated with the Department of Defense and NATO, and documented advancements in medicine and space exploration. 

As the Deputy Director of Youth Documentary Academy, Mari connects teens with professional filmmakers to bring their stories to life. These films are showcased nationally on PBS.

Cristi Bundukamara, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner turned first-time producer, recognized the lack of resources for people experiencing intense grief, prompting her to document her own journey. With a strong background in mental health and education, Cristi brings a unique perspective to filmmaking, aiming to foster meaningful conversations and deeper understanding around grief and trauma.

 As the creator of the Mentally STRONG Method, Cristi developed a personal development approach that empowers individuals to think, organize, and choose in their journey toward mental strength. Through her work, she inspires others to confront and manage their grief and trauma, emphasizing resilience and self-discovery. Her dedication to mental health and storytelling is at the heart of “I’m Right Here, Mama.”

Jada West, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and has an extensive background in project management and patient access within mental health services, seamlessly stepped into her new role as co-producer of “I’m Right Here, Mama.”

For Jada, this project is more than a documentary; it’s a heartfelt undertaking driven by her professional and personal experiences, and a passion to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to navigate the challenges of grief and loss. She sees the film as a powerful tool to spark crucial conversations and foster a deeper appreciation for mental health and resilience. Through her work on the documentary, Jada champions the transformative power of storytelling to effect change and nurture personal development.
